Three letters than pack so much punch: SEO.
Otherwise known as "Search Engine Optimization." I, too, love to write,
and if you blog you are probably echoing that same sentiment.
However, writing so that search engines find you and doing so the right
way is a completely different undertaking. If you blog, you want to be
seen/read, correct? Matt Beswick concurs, which is why he is flying from
the United Kingdom to Salt Lake City to speak about SEO to our
conference attendees.
Matt is based between Milton Keynes and London, UK and here's what you can expect from his pro level class (which is open to all attendees):
Integrating Social and Search for Your Blog’s Benefit: How cool and informative does that sound? If you are a blogger of any variety, SEO and search and how to merge them to get the maximum
benefit from both is a pivotal topic. And one that Lorie Huston, DVM, will be presenting as an educational session for this year's BlogPaws Conference.
Dr. Lorie is no stranger to BlogPaws. This is her fourth time coming to the conference, and rightfully so: She is one of the top pet bloggers and imparts her knowledge and experience to our attendees. Here's the scoop on what to expect when Dr. Lorie goes front and center:
Don't you just love those days when you sit down to blog and you are so overrun with ideas that your fingers simply can't keep up? Your blog will be stuffed with pet-centric blog posts from here to eternity because of the plethora of ideas... right? Well, not always so much. Paws up if you've been there!
Here are some of the steps I take to formulate a blog post or ezine article when I simply do not have an idea from which to begin:
When I went looking for how to up my blogging
SEO game, Pam Foster’s marketing, SEO, and social media advice stopped me in my
tracks: literally. Wildly
Profitable Marketing for the Pet Industry is one of the best “how to” books
for marketing (and profiting from it) in the pet industry I have encountered. The section on SEO
is worth the price of the book alone.
I met Pam online a few weeks before BlogPaws’ 2012
Conference and now here she speaking at the 2013 Conference in (55 gulp!) days.
Here, Foster granted BlogPaws an interview
and sneak peek as to what she has planned for attendees to this year’s
conference.
Pinterest may
be a women-focused site and I say, “what’s wrong with that?” I find it does
take many
hours of my day when I don’t set a timer…it’s easy to get lost in
following pins to see what’s new on the pet front. If you’re in the midst of
building your pet blogging brand, Pinterest is a tool you want to add to your
social media arsenal.
Here are some
tips to optimize the time you spend on Pinterest and how to organize your
boards and your pins:
