Pet Bloggers Blog Hop 1/23

Last week was such a big week for Pet Bloggers! There was the Be the Change Event where Pet Bloggers across the world pledged to make a difference in the lives of those we are most passionate about. If you missed the event click the link to see the list of all of the Blogs that participated. Of course it is never too late to choose to Be the Change and come up with a project that is near and dear to your heart.

On Thursday night at their weekly Twitter #NipClub the cats (a number of dogs a duck or two a few rabbits, and maybe even some ferrets) Partied the night away to help raise funds for Okie's Promise. A ton of money was raised but in order for this amazing Be the Change Project to take place they still need to raise more money.

As an end to such an amazing week Change.org Editors picked up the Pet Bloggers plea for E-Bay to get out of the live pet selling business and created a petition in order to really get the attention of E-bay Executives. There are 764 signatures right this minute but I know with the communities help we can make this go viral! Anyone have any special plans with their pets this weekend? A fun hike in the mountains, a meet-up, having a play date? If you are be sure to take your camera along and post your full sized pictures on the BlogPaws Facebook Page so we can post them for the Wordless Wednesday picture of the week.

I think we are going to relax, watch movies, and read this weekend. We have had a pretty busy few weeks with a ton going on so some rest is in order. Don't think there will be any photo opportunities for us this weekend but you never know.

Pet Bloggers Blog Hop

Happy New Year to all of our friends.

In 2010 our voices were heard and we were seen as a strong and united Community that will do what it takes to help those we are most passionate about. Brands took notice of our voices and want us on their side helping to promote their product in a far more authentic way then they ever could through traditional media outlets.

In 2010 Be the Change created a movement of people who did amazing things to help animals of all shapes and sizes. Thousands of pounds of food were donated,  tens of thousands of dollars were raised, and Bloggers moved mountains to help ensure the health and happiness of animals around the world.

2011 is going to be an amazing year for Pet Bloggers.

What will you contribute to the Pet Blogging Community? This is your community and the more you put into it the more you will get out of it. Of you don't participate in community events with your blog why not?

Have you created goals for your blog that you are determined to achieve this year? Be sure to share them with your readers as a way to keep yourself more accountable for reaching those goals. As a Blogger you need the help of your readers to achieve your goals anyway. We are here to help each other succeed.
