Today's a crazy day, so I'm going to keep this short, but I'm still excited about my trip to LA last weekend to attend the FoundAnimals Forum, Spay/Neuter Past, Present, and Future. Full disclosure: FoundAnimals sponsored BlogPaws 2010 West — many of you probably met their Director of Marketing, Andrew Barrett, who also presented — and I was received a complimentary pass to attend (not including my travel expenses).
The photo shows Andrew and me with Amanda Arrington, the Spay-Neuter Initiatives Manager for the Humane Society of the United States, at the reception after the Forum. Amanda presented the results of a two year study in the Gulf Coast region on the most effective ways to communicate the urgency of spay/neuter and the connection to reducing and eventually eliminating the killing of pets in shelters.
