Kindness....Yesterday I was at the post office....waiting in line behind several others as they waited with packages in hand. A very small, Vietnamese woman approached the counter who spoke no English. The postal worker was less than patient with this woman when asking what was inside the Vietnamese woman's package because the Vietnamese woman clearly didn't speak English. The Vietnamese woman pulled out her cell phone to get help with translation and attempted to hand the phone to the postal worker who put her hands in the air and said, "I will not talk to anyone on your cell phone." The Vietnamese woman didn't understand so she extended her arm to the postal worker and the postal worker just got louder as she refused to speak on the Vietnamese woman's cell phone. By now everyone's attention was peaked...the next customer (a woman) in line took the cell phone and spoke to the person on the other end of the cell phone. Then the good Samaritan said, "It's papers." To which the postal worker promptly accepted the package. I got out of line and handed the good Samaritan a kindness card and the Vietnamese woman hugged the good Samaritan. It's not the hard to be kind. ♥ nannette
