While I realize I typically blog about social media and blogging, having just adopted a new kitten has changed my focus this week -- partially because it's hard to concentrate or type with a kitten swiping at the keyboard, clawing my chair or otherwise begging for attention. We have always had cats in the house but Lucy is the first kitten we have had that greets us at the door and with a "wagging tail." I'd never seen a kitty wag her tail unti Lucy came along and it got me to wondering what other cat info I don't know. 

Why Do People Unfollow Brands on Facebook?

As bloggers, we're all brands. If you are attempting to monetize, garner a following, and/or grow your blog, more than likely you have a Facebook page. (if you don't, run to get one).

An interesting study was released by Lab42, a market research company. In its study, 1,000 social media users were surveyed as to how they interact with brands on Facebook. You might be surprised by the reason folks interact with brands on Facebook and the number one reason they unfollow a brand.

Tips To Make Your Pet Blogging Experience A Joy

We've all had it: the fear of the blank screen. Heck, I get it on a weekly basis and I've been blogging for more than a decade. I have found several ways to make the blogging experience less of a pain and more of a joy and I want to pass my tips along to you. Blogging about pets or in the pet industry should be something you do because you love it, not because it's a chore or obligation that you have to do... if you aren't having a good time, it will show in your words and you'll lose momentum.
