Super interesting piece!

I was actually pleased to see "sincere" and "conversational" ranked in the top 2.

In my opinion many people confuse blogging with other more "formal" writing styles. Blogs were never meant to be scientific journal articles, dissertations or literary classics.

Originally they were mean to be more of a "log", a diary per se, where the author wrote their thoughts and feelings, YES in a more "conversational" style.

The internet is the land of the quick-fix. People want to hit-and run. In my opinion they don't want to be lectured to, talked down to or kept on a page for more than 2 minutes.

It takes skill and an inherent knowledge of PEOPLE to be able to create posts (whether they be photos, videos or a written piece), that people can relate to and that resonates with them.

There are many talented writers on the internet and off, but in my opinion the BEST writers UNDERSTAND their audience, they speak in terms that are easy to understand. The reader is able to know that they are interacting with a PERSON and not an encyclopedia.

that should be "meant" to be!
