Head's up Pet Bloggers: We need more pictures posted to the community to give us lots to choose from for Wordless Wednesday. We hear from everyone who has been chosen that they love waking up to the Wednesday morning surprise of having their baby front and center for everyone to look at!

Love Wordless Wednesday because you get to post pictures of your pets? Well it is now 100 times better! Each week BlogPaws is going to create a link up for the community for you to add a link directly to your Wordless Wednesday Post. That way we can all share and enjoy each others pets.

The rules are super simple: Show us your pets! Leave a link directly to your Wordless Wednesday Post Visit other blogs and say hello (don't forget! This is the part that is the most fun!) Remember to leave a comment to let everyone know you stopped by for a visit. Share the link up with your readers so they can join the community and link up as well.

You can grab the code and place it on your blog or you can refer your readers right back to the Wordless Wednesday post of the week. If you would like your pet’s picture featured as our Wordless Wednesday picture of the week, please join the BlogPaws Community Center.

Pictures you post there have a chance of making it to our Wordless Wednesday. You can post as many pictures as you want in our community - we encourage it! When everyone else is tired of seeing pictures of your pet, we still want to see them. PS. Blog Carnival to Support Our Pets

As a member of the BlogPaws community online, you know all too well that pets are more than just pets. They are our family, our friends. Unfortunately, too many of our four-legged pals do not have the opportunity to be loved and end up in shelters without a home.

That’s why we’ve partnered with BISSELL Homecare, Inc. for a Blog Carnival to help raise money for the Petfinder.com Foundation, which is helping pets across the U.S. find their forever homes. A Blog Carnival is a community-wide BlogPaws event in which we all post around the same topic. We invite you to tell us about your adoption story and the happiness your pet has brought you. Blue-Green Algae Blooms and the Dangers to Your Pet

Recently, one dog died and two others are suspected of dying from exposure to toxic blue-green algae, according to the  Kansas State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.

These dogs were exposed to a blue-green algae bloom in a specific location, Milford Lake in Kansas. However, Kansas is not the only location to have difficulties with this dangerous poison problem. Blue-green algae blooms have been reported elsewhere throughout the country as well. In May, Rhode Island authorities issued a warning about the toxic effects of blue-green algae blooms. Other states have issued similar warnings and have had similar issues as well.

BlogPaws Defeats Hurricane Irene!

Earthquakes and hurricanes can't keep pet bloggers from getting together! This weekend we had an overflowing event hall full of sponsors, bloggers, news media, dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, and...people. There was a LOT of hugging and laughter and frivolity with old friends meeting new friends and new bloggers making new friends.

Was there a hurricane - an earthquake? I guess so. We've been keeping up with it on the news - but BlogPaws went on as planned and rocked the ballroom and session rooms both Friday and Saturday.

Mind you, we were all watching the storm carefully. Some folks had to get home early - including our own Caroline Golon (who is home and fine) having travelled hundreds of miles with none other than the Rescue Ink bikers who spoke Friday morning. I'm sure she has stories to tell!

Watch for many stories about BlogPaws 2012 - session stories, sponsors stories, swag stories, meeting stories, food stories (oh yes there was cheesecake!), ferret stories, guinea pig stories, and stories of how even earthquakes and hurricanes can't keep the pet bloggers of BlogPaws away.
