Denise Wakeman, a smart, talented blogger I've had the pleasure of knowing for several years, offers this exciting way to make new friends with your blog. You do understand that making new friends increases traffic? And more traffic means more opportunity to monetize your blog? And more friends means more people to meet at BlogPaws! w00t!
Denise calls it, "Brag about your blog day."
Here's how it works...taken from Denise's Facebook page:
"It's Brag About Your Blog Day! Every month I invite you to post a link(s) to your blog. Tell us about your blog. Post the name and URL (include http:// so the link is active and we can click thru) on this Wall thread. Every month I find new blog gems and see a lot of possibilities for JVs (joint ventures) and guest posting opportunities. Go ahead...brag about your blog now!"
Isn't that a great idea? Imagine how many new pet bloggers and other folks you'd meet if you did that? How about if WE did it...on BlogPaws? How about if everyone joined in?
The beauty of it, beyond the fantastic blog hops we do here (with sincere thanks to Felissa Elfenbein, is that in a Brag About Your Blog Day program, you get to tell us in your own words what your blog is about. We get to meet you, and your pets, in a virtual discussion that is (a) more than 140 characters, (b) tells us exactly what you're about, and (c) showcases you to a whole lot of other folks, including visiting pet companies and brands.
Here are Denise's own words about this project, "Once again, these savvy bloggers are reaping the rewards with more visibility - shout outs of thanks and congratulations on Facebook and Twitter, comments on the original blog post, and related blog posts like this one which in the end drive more traffic and engagement on their sites.

My blog is right up there on my list of favorite things. I love to write and I love to have a little piece of cyberland that is all mine. I love to share about the two-legged people in my world as well as the four-legged "people" in my world. I love making new friends with my readers. The more friends...the better.
I would be happy to be included in your collective list of those who want to brag about their blogs.

Yvonne just saw your comment, thank you! You always bring a smile to my face too!!!!! I try to bring visibility to Cat Chat by tweeting posts, posting them on Facebook and by returning the love by following TONS (and I am NOT Kidding when I say TONS) of other blogs!!
I try to leave some comment love daily....if I want the love I have to give it back too!!!

Wonderful idea! My blog is called Joyful Paws, which is dedicated to all the beautiful life lessons our beloved pets teach us. I have an especially soft spot for special needs pet since my dachshund was diagnosed with IVDD and became paralyzed in 2006. I love sharing a positive message about these amazing animals.
