Now that is a great post! I learned quite a bit from it. I have been emailing sponsors and getting a few things & I love doing it. I didn't know you could charge them for it? I don't think I'm brave enough to ask that. I have 30 giveaways going on right now some with low entries!

I loved this post as well and didn't realize I could charge for a sponsor either.

I have a few "guest bloggers" who have been, are or will be on my blog and what we have worked out is a "trade". I post them on my blog and they post me on theirs. Double exposure.

Will have to give the "charging" some thought.
Thanks for the great tips!

Barb- sponsors come in all shapes and sizes. You have to determine what works best for you and your blog. If you are doing a lot of giveaways, perhaps we can help you turn that talent into getting sponsors, also. Are you attending BlogPaws?

Caren, some sponsors offer free 'stuff'... some will treat their sponsorship as an ad, and some want to do guest blogging.

Yes, you can put a price on guest posts - but you'll want to be selective. I think guest bloggers who allow you to guest blog on their blogs, are a great idea.

I'm primarily referring to "brands" - as their posts would be a form of advertising - for most purposes. And, they pay for advertising elsewhere, why shouldn't they pay for it on your blog? Mind you...you MUST always show and cite that it's a sponsored or paid post.

Does that make more sense?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean about putting the invite in the sidebar?
