To showcase our amazing sponsors and speakers we're hosting a Twitter party this Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. EST.
We'll be holding fun quizzes throughout the event and those who answer the quiz questions correctly will have a chance to win fabulous prizes from our sponsors and speakers. We'll also be including a few free BlogPaws conference passes as prizes too! So don't miss out.
What is a Twitter party?
On Twitter, when a group of people join in a common discussion thread, they use a hashtag (#) to indicate they are all talking about the same topic. For example, if I’m having a discussion on Twitter about dog food, then I’d use the phrase (beginning with hashtag) #dogfood in my tweets. Then, those interested in the topic can simply search for all the posts that include #dogfood.
A Twitter party is an organized "discussion” or “party” that anyone can join! On Thursday, just search for the term #blogpawspawty on Twitter and join in the conversation/party taking place. Be sure to use the phrase #blogpawspawty in your tweets so people know you’re part of the party. Lots of people like to use www.tweetgrid.com to keep track of the discussion a little more easily.
If you're still confused, don't worry. Just hop on Twitter and search for the hashtag #blogpawspawty and watch how things unfold. I think you'll find that you can just jump in and join the fun and it's a lot easier than it sounds. Make sure you follow @blogpaws and DM us with questions if you need help!
We hope to see you there!

The instructions were clear. It sounds like a lot of fun, I just hope I'm around to join the party! Thanks

Well this looks like fun. I sure will be there to see how it all works. Is anyone allowed to come, or is it just for the speakers and sponsors???
