Hope all of you had a marvelous New Year's Eve last night. Tom and I stayed home to relax and totally forgot about the time change between CO and NY. Hence, we missed the dropping of the ball in NYC. Oh well. Our news said it was snowing pretty heavily in NY, anyway. I wonder how the whole thing appeared on TV. Anybody out there see it?
Onward and forward and all that jazz. We're going to be hitting the ground running come Monday, in our preparations for BlogPaws 2010. This isn't for us, folks. It's for you! For the great pet bloggers and pet companies, and companies that aren't necessarily pet related but offer pet services or products. Did everyone see our newest sponsor, Bissell, the vacuum cleaning company? How kewl is that?
Over the last few days, I've noticed a lot of great @blogpaws chatter on Twitter. It's so exciting to see people discussing tables and meeting up and flight arrangements. At our end, Caroline, Tom and I, are focused on making this event the BEST pet blogger event of the decade! Ok, it's...so far...the only pet blogger event we know of, but that makes it even more important to create something that serves to excite, entertain, educate and Give Back! Remember that - we're devoted to our pets, as are you, and we need to help support animal shelters.
In that, we need your help. We need some chatter about the shelters you support and would like to see entered into the list - for our Blogpaws attendees to vote on. Also, as we grow BlogPaws, we'll be creating ways for you to give back, too. It's been said that a society is a reflection of how it treats the least of its members - and surely our pets, including non-furry pets, are among "the least" of us.
Yesterday, on the Ch 4 News here in Frederick, they said "another" 100 chihuahuas were flown in to Denver, from California. Dogs that were in danger of being put down. Let's get behind our shelters and the people who take in the dogs, cats, birds, elephants (ok, I don't know about elephants, I just love'em)... and care for them until they are adopted into a forever home.
To do that, we need you. So, I ask again... R U Ready for the BlogPaws Conference? Register now to get the early bird discount. Join us in serving our pets, one and all.
